Pastor Shyngle Wigwe, the father of billionaire business mogul and late former Chief Executive Officer of Access Holdings, Herbert Wigwe, celebrated his 90th birthday on Wednesday.
From reports, the birthday dinner was held in Lagos, Nigeria to honour the elder who is alos a pastir of Redeemed Christina Church of God.
Some prominent Nigerians were in attendance. Aliko Dangote, Africa’s richest man and a close friend of the celebrant’s late son, was present throughout the celebration.
Amongst individuals and groups who celebrated Pastor Shyngle was Access Bank, and the chairman of Access Holdings, Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede, sent cakes on behalf of his family and the bank.
An instagram video by @temilolasobola showed where Pastor Shyngle Wigwe was leading a praise session with his guest at the birthday dinner.
Pastor Shyngle was born on October 8, 1934, to the family of Augustus Wigwe, a police officer, and Watuze Wigwe in Isiokpo, Rivers State.
His son, Wigwe, died in a helicopter crash near a border city between Nevada and California in the United States alongside his wife and son on February 6.
They were buried on March 9, 2024, after a combined funeral service at the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Lion of Judah Parish, Isiokpo, was held.
